OW Corps of Drums

Membership of the OW Drums is free and is open to all members of the WA. Our active members are all OWs and range in age from 18 to 88. Our members comprise mainly those who were in the Corps of Drums whilst at School…but if you were never in ‘The Drums’ at School but would like to have a try of the drums, flute, bugle or cymbals now, or merely just wish to be added to our email mailing list or internet groups, you are more than welcome. Likewise, if you were in The Drums 50 years ago please don’t assume that you will be too rusty, you will be surprised how quickly it all comes back.

We have two rehearsal evenings each year; one in January and one in September always on a Friday night at The Clubhouse (Whitgift Sports Club), from 8pm – 10pm before adjourning to the bar from 10pm – midnight. In addition to our two rehearsal evenings we also play 2 or 3 concerts during the summer months; usually one at a function for the WA, at Clandon Park (National Trust) and on a Victorian bandstand (usually Central London or Brighton).
