Triangular match, 18th June 2014

The triangular match between the OWGS, the school and the masters was played at Croham Hurst in glorious evening sunshine, dimmed only by the fog surrounding the scoring system. As well as a point for a win, fractions of points are awarded for the bye match, the bye-bye, etc; all very confusing.

Very clear however was the talent emerging at all levels within the school; most of the boys were conceding several shots to their opponents on both the other teams, and yet the school still managed to emerge as winners. Just. Time didn’t permit a recount, but a rough approximation of the score was 13.75 to the school, 13.125 to OWGS, and 8.75 to the masters. Well done, the boys, and many thanks to the school for hosting the event.
