Dinner and drinks reception: £45
This year marks the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War. In total, 40 players from the Old Whitgiftian rugby club gave their lives between 1914 and 1918.
To commemorate their ultimate sacrifice a team of current Old Whitgiftian RFC members will be travelling across Northern France and Belgium from 4th to 7th July, visiting over 30 of their past players’ graves, and laying wreaths at each one on behalf of the present day club.
Prior to the trip a memorial service will be held at the School on Thursday 3rd July, followed by a drinks reception in the Quadrangle and dinner in the Old Library.
The Old Whitgiftian RFC committee warmly invites you to join us for the evening to help pay tribute to these men.
Please note spaces for the dinner are limited but all are welcome to join us for the memorial service and drinks reception.

7pm – Drinks reception in the Quadrangle
