Remembering 1916 – Life on the Western Front12/3/2016 to 31/8/2016
This major exhibition marks the Centenary of the Fist World War, with a particular focus on 1916; a pivotal year which saw a number of significant battles, including the Battle of Verdun, and the Battle of the Somme, one of the most famous in British military history.
The Exhibition will display an outstanding range of original artefacts, including British, French and German uniforms, equipment and weaponry, alongside letters, photographs and other memorabilia, and some incredibly rare objects.
Remembering 1916 will be the first and only time these items are seen together.
Visitors to Remembering 1916 can enjoy stepping back in time, in the Edwardian-themed cafe, and take home some First World War mementos from the shop.
