“Whitgift is my life and I want to keep it that way. It will give me so many life long advantages that I know I wouldn’t get if I went to another school” Sam (Lower First)

Please help us give the gift of a first class education and send an able boy from a low income family to Whitgift.

Increasingly the School is unable to offer places to a rising number of talented boys, on entry at 10,11, 13 and 16, because their parents cannot afford to pay the fees. Demand for bursaries is growing and there is no question that many boys would benefit from this opportunity. If we could expand the financial provision to assist families with gifted sons it would enable the School to educate the most deserving boys regardless of background.

In the last year we have raised £100,000! Thank you Old Whitgiftians for your generosity. Please help us reach our target of £500,000.

We hope that those who have benefited from an education at Whitgift will find it rewarding to support other young people so they can achieve their true potential. There is something very personal and meaningful about endowing a bursary and providing a talented young person with the opportunity to benefit from an outstanding education. Every supporter makes a significant difference to a child’s life no matter what level of financial support is given.

Many Old Whitgiftians starting out in their careers support the Appeal by making an affordable monthly donation. If 50 OWs donate just £32 a month together they could pay the school fees for one deserving boy from a low income family. This is less than the cost of a coffee on the way to work.

Please complete this Standing Order Form and return to office@whitgiftianassociation.co.uk and we will set the standing order up for you. Don’t forget by gift aiding your donation, the Bursary Appeal will receive an extra 25p for every £1 you give. This is an affordable and hugely worthwhile way of giving something back to your school and helping talented boys that really appreciate the opportunity they have been given thanks to your generosity.

Please consider making a donation by cheque made payable to the Whitgiftian Association Trust at the following address; Whitgiftian Association, Whitgift School, Haling Park, South Croydon CR2 6YT or donate online here:

During the past twelve months we have successfully established the WA Trust (WAT), a charitable vehicle registered and approved by the Charities Commission (Reg Charity Number: 1157289), which will enable all gifts and donations to be made in the most tax-effective way.  All amounts donated will fall under the Gift Aid scheme, enabling both recipient and donor to achieve maximum benefit under current tax legislation*.

“A place of endless opportunities where we can excel in sport more than anywhere else in the country, discover hidden talents and make life long friendships” Yvan, 2015 leaver
